Faleh Hadi Al Ameree undersecretary of Ministry of Construction
and Housing
declared
that the ministry engineering staffs continue work in
reconstruction Al Sarrafya Bridge and that their companies
worked in an extra ordinary and in untraditional ways in
reconstruction this bridge with the direct supervision of
minister of Construction and Housing , Bayan Dezee.
The project
was financed by the Road and Bridges State Committee allocations
for 2007– 2008 without any need for special allocations for the
project.
The State
Committee for Road and Bridges one of the Ministry of
Construction and Housing
formations conveyed the work to Al Fao Engineering State Company
and Al Farouq Constructional Contracting State Company, whom
carried out all the work in lifting approaches, recasting the
concrete piers, making Rockers; which consider one of the most
important parts of the bridge; in addition to sand blast and
extension parts and casting the bridge surface and the work in
pills and metal stage which is necessary for the work. The State
Company for Heavy Engineering Equipments one of the Ministry of
Industry formations worked as a second contractor with the
Committee to accomplish the bridge metal structures which forms
about 35% of the total work rate.
The State
Committee for Road and Bridges followed all the work stages and
it was very careful in accomplish it according to the technical
specifications. According to the minister directions the
ministry contracted with a specialist advisor from the private
sector as a third part to watch the extra works in addition to
the Ministry of Industry specialist institution which followed
the engineering checking for the metal parts of the general
bridge structure.
It is worth
mentioning that the Ministry and the State Committee leader
staffs followed the work details and visited the location and
attended all the direct meetings with the executive staffs, the
matter that participates in reducing all the obstacles.
Ministry of
Construction and Housing; which is considered as the
sponsor for the big reconstruction campaign in Iraq; honored to
add this huge achievement to its honorable records which present
a big challenge against the terrorism within the directions of
the prime minister in considering year 2008 as a reconstruction
and building year…
