The first meeting with the Iraqi
side of the Iraqi \ Philippines
Joint Committee has been held
in the Ministry Of Construction
and Housing with the presence of
the head of the committee ,
Minister Bayan Dezee .
The meeting came within the
country trends to benefit from
the foreign experiences and the
commercial and finical
cooperation to participate in
reconstruction Iraq.
In this regard, Her Excellency
confirmed on the importance of
openness Iraq to the world and
benefit from the developed
countries experiments and trend
towards investments, especially
in the private sector which has
a greet role in developing the
economic field because the
public sector experiment became
archaic and useless.
Her Excellency added that
numerous investment companies in
Iraq contribute in decreasing
the prices and encouraging the
competition the matter which
will serve the country in this
stage.
At the end of the meeting, the
Minister stressed on the
importance of Philippines role
in participating in the
reconstruction, especially it
has a previous contribution in
reconstruction Iraq in the
eighties.
It is worth mentioning that the
Iraqi \ Philippines Joint
Committee work has been
activated by the order of Prime
Minister (Noori Al Maliky).
